Connect Zoom to Trayne for Coaches

Last updated: July 23, 2026

The Zoom integration imports completed cloud meeting transcripts into Trayne for Coaches. Trayne keeps each meeting’s original date, helps match participants to athletes, and turns the conversation into dated coaching context that Trayne can use when helping the coach.

Before you connect

  • You need an active Trayne for Coaches account.
  • Your Zoom account must support cloud recording and audio transcription, and those features must be enabled for the meetings you want to import.
  • Trayne imports transcript files. It does not import or store the meeting’s audio or video recording.

Connect Zoom

  1. Sign in at coach.trayne.ai.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Find Zoom under Integrations and select Connect.
  4. Sign in to Zoom if prompted, review the requested permissions, and authorize Trayne.
  5. Return to Trayne for Coaches. The Zoom row shows the connection and the progress of the historical import.

What happens after authorization

Trayne first checks up to 15 months of available Zoom cloud-recording history. Completed transcripts are imported with their original meeting dates and marked as historical context, so older conversations are not treated as current coaching instructions.

After the historical import, Zoom notifies Trayne when a new cloud transcript is ready. Trayne imports the meeting transcript, meeting date, topic, and participant information, then processes that information in the background.

Match participants to athletes

Trayne attempts to match meeting participants to athletes already on your roster. If a participant cannot be matched confidently, the Zoom integration shows them as unmatched. Select the correct athlete before relying on that meeting as athlete-specific context.

How Trayne uses imported meetings

Transcript processing happens in the background. Trayne extracts relevant athlete goals, constraints, preferences, and coaching observations, keeps them tied to the source meeting’s date, and incorporates that dated context into the athlete understanding used by coaching chat and planning.

Trayne for Coaches does not provide a standalone meeting-history or raw transcript browser.

Limits and troubleshooting

  • A meeting must have a completed Zoom cloud transcript before Trayne can import it.
  • Local computer recordings and meetings without an audio transcript are not imported.
  • Historical availability depends on what remains available in the connected Zoom account.
  • If the connection says it needs attention, disconnect and reconnect Zoom from Trayne for Coaches to grant a fresh authorization.

Disconnect or remove Zoom

Disconnect in Trayne

In Trayne for Coaches, open Settings and select Disconnect on the Zoom integration. This stops future imports and disables the stored Zoom authorization. Context already derived from imported meetings remains available to Trayne.

Remove imported meeting data

Contact support@trayne.ai if you need a specific imported meeting removed. Trayne will remove its stored transcript data and rebuild the affected athlete context. Training plan changes that were already made are not automatically undone.

Remove Trayne from Zoom

Open the Zoom App Marketplace, go to Manage and Added Apps, select Trayne for Coaches, and remove the app. Zoom notifies Trayne that access was revoked, and Trayne removes the connection and Zoom-derived meeting data associated with that authorization.
